Services

Proposed service offering

The following sections describe the services TABLE OF THE ELEMENTS LTD intends to offer, including the purpose of each service, its typical scope and the process used to deliver it.

These are draft descriptions pending company review. They do not assert verified expertise, certifications, partnerships or guaranteed results, and the final scope of any engagement is agreed in writing beforehand.

Service areas at a glance

Custom software development

Applications built for a specific operational process where existing products do not fit.

Web application development

Browser-based platforms for customers, partners or internal staff, built to be fast and legible on any device.

UI/UX design

Interface design grounded in the tasks people perform and the conditions they perform them in.

Cloud and infrastructure support

Setting up, operating and improving hosted environments, deployment pipelines and monitoring.

API and third-party systems integration

Connecting applications, external services and internal data stores so information moves without manual re-entry.

Quality assurance and testing

Automated and manual verification directed at the journeys that carry the most operational weight.

Software maintenance and technical support

Keeping a delivered system healthy: dependency updates, defect fixes and small planned improvements.

Service 01

Custom software development

Applications built for a specific operational process where existing products do not fit.

Purpose

To replace fragile spreadsheets, manual coordination or an ageing tool with a system that models the actual process, enforces its rules and produces reliable records.

Typical scope

Requirements capture, domain and data modelling, application build, migration of existing records, acceptance testing and release. Scope is expressed as a sequence of deliverables, each with its own acceptance criteria.

Process

Discovery and written requirements; a technical proposal covering architecture, data model and risks; iterative development with review at the end of each iteration; migration rehearsal; release; a defined support period.

Engagement notes

Deliverables, review points and acceptance criteria for this service are defined during discovery and confirmed in writing before work begins.

Where an existing system already meets the need, we say so rather than proposing additional work.

Service 02

Web application development

Browser-based platforms for customers, partners or internal staff, built to be fast and legible on any device.

Purpose

To give users access to a system without installing anything, while keeping page content indexable where that matters and interaction predictable where it does not.

Typical scope

Information architecture, responsive interface implementation, server-side rendering, authentication and permission handling, integration with back-end services, performance and accessibility verification.

Process

Task inventory and flow definition; wireframes covering empty, loading and error states; component implementation against shared design tokens; functional and cross-device testing; staged release.

Service 03

UI/UX design

Interface design grounded in the tasks people perform and the conditions they perform them in.

Purpose

To reduce error rates and training time by making the primary tasks obvious, and to give development a stable specification to build against.

Typical scope

Task and user-context research, journey mapping, wireframes, visual design, a component inventory with tokens for colour, typography and spacing, and accessibility review.

Process

Research and task inventory; low-fidelity flows reviewed with stakeholders; high-fidelity screens for agreed flows; design system documentation; review sessions during implementation to resolve gaps.

Service 04

Cloud and infrastructure support

Setting up, operating and improving hosted environments, deployment pipelines and monitoring.

Purpose

To make deployments routine and recoveries rehearsed, so releases stop being events that require the whole team to be available.

Typical scope

Environment provisioning described in configuration files, continuous integration and deployment pipelines, monitoring and alerting, backup scheduling with restore tests, and resource sizing reviews.

Process

Assessment of the current hosting arrangement; a target environment definition; incremental migration with rollback plans; documentation and runbooks; hand-over training for the operating team.

Service 05

API and third-party systems integration

Connecting applications, external services and internal data stores so information moves without manual re-entry.

Purpose

To eliminate duplicated data entry and reconciliation work, and to establish a single authoritative source for each field that several systems rely on.

Typical scope

Data flow mapping, interface design or consumption, authentication handling, scheduled and event-driven synchronisation, retry and error-queue handling, and audit logging of transfers.

Process

Mapping the fields and ownership rules; agreeing conflict resolution behaviour; building against a test environment of each system; controlled cut-over with parallel running where feasible; monitoring after release.

Engagement notes

Deliverables, review points and acceptance criteria for this service are defined during discovery and confirmed in writing before work begins.

Where an existing system already meets the need, we say so rather than proposing additional work.

Service 06

Quality assurance and testing

Automated and manual verification directed at the journeys that carry the most operational weight.

Purpose

To detect regressions before users do and to make the effect of a change visible to everyone involved in a release decision.

Typical scope

Test strategy definition, unit and integration suites, end-to-end coverage of critical journeys, exploratory test sessions, defect reporting standards and release verification checklists.

Process

Agreeing which journeys must never break; building automated coverage for them; running exploratory sessions against each increment; recording defects with reproduction steps; reviewing escaped defects to improve coverage.

Service 07

Software maintenance and technical support

Keeping a delivered system healthy: dependency updates, defect fixes and small planned improvements.

Purpose

To prevent the slow accumulation of outdated dependencies, unreviewed configuration and undocumented workarounds that eventually makes a system risky to change.

Typical scope

A defined intake route for defects and requests, prioritisation with the client, scheduled maintenance windows, dependency and platform updates, and periodic reviews of monitoring data.

Process

Agreeing response expectations and contact routes in writing; triage of each report; batched maintenance releases; a short written summary after each maintenance window describing what changed.

Engagement notes

Deliverables, review points and acceptance criteria for this service are defined during discovery and confirmed in writing before work begins.

Where an existing system already meets the need, we say so rather than proposing additional work.
